OK, so, I did it! I managed to pitch the concept for my novel in less than three minutes, absolutely unscripted and with no editing after-the-fact. I’m a bit bubblier than I intended to be at the start of the video, but I think I toned down the enthusiasm by the end.
In retrospect, I could have ended the video better, but I think I was so thrilled to be finished that I didn’t actually know what to do or say when it was time to cut the conversation. Basically, I just stopped talking and turned the camera off. That works, right? Remind me to never direct/act professionally. I’ll stick with writing.
