Labor Day weekend was slightly more special for me this year. Not only did I get an extra day off (in commemoration for the workers unions and fair labor acts, not expectant mothers as many falsely think), I also got the opportunity to see my screenplay, “Haggling,” come to life on the big screen!
It was part of the Central Florida Filn Festival and it showed TWICE during the three-day event:Friday and Sunday!
I was deeply humbled to be surrounded by friends and family at the event, and I’m now more motivated than ever to continue writing, pushing through my slow periods and getting myself out there more often.
I’m so thankful for my family and my best friend, Delonna, for sacrificing their Sunday afternoon to come see the film!
As soon as I have updates on the award ceremony (fingers crossed for “Audience Favorite!”), I will post it here!
Optimistic for a great week and lots of labor (writing!) in the near future!
