No, I didn’t go get a tattoo, Mom, so stop panicking.
Different Perspective Productions, the marketing company I hired a few weeks back, has officially presented their logo pitch to me and I am IN LOVE! They absolutely captured my style, the essence of my work, and the overall tone and persona I wanted my logo to represent. Robert Jones, the Senior Graphic Designer, absolutely outdid himself with the creation of my logomark and the custom font they designed for my logotype is stellar.
As verbose as I tend to be, I was SPEECHLESS when they presented the finished product to me. [Don’t worry – my husband will be calling Rob for details on exactly how he did that, because he has never figured out how to successfully shut me up for longer than 60 seconds at a time. No joke; I even talk in my sleep.] Rafael Guerra and his team managed to gather everything I told them I wanted in addition to the unspoken cues, such as my body language and emotional response to colors and visuals, and as a result they were able to deliver a product so perfect, so well-crafted, that it left me unable to describe my elation. And that’s saying a lot, considering I’m a writer!
The business cards, letterhead, and envelopes have been ordered – but I won’t make you wait for those to be printed to see their fantastic design. I couldn’t even make it through the end of our meeting to ask for them to email me a sample from their pitch so that I could showcase their talent – and my new logo! – to the world.
So, without further delay, here is the official logo, embossed on paper:

Infusing the originality of Jane Austin’s signature with a few key elements of my style to create the logo, this beautiful brand was created. Can you spot the three elements that were fused to create the graphic?
The color, the font, the logo – it surpasses all definition. Perfect isn’t a strong enough word to describe Rob’s deployment and creative instincts.
The Optimist is a very, very happy girl this evening.
