Reblogging from Merethe: Some Irritating Facts About Being an Unpublished Author

Some Irritating Facts About Being an Unpublished Author.

My good friend Merethe recently wrote this article and it’s probably one of the most hilarious – and accurate – accounts of the process for getting an agent/publisher I’ve read in a long time.

As someone getting closer and closer to graduation and the “real world” of writing, knowing what I’m up against is half the better. It’s not going to be easy. I’m going to face a lot of failure. I will receive far more rejections and denials than I will ever see positive reception of my work – and I need to get used to that.

If I’m smart, I’ll do just as my friend has done here: I’ll make light of it and use the frustration as inspiration for a clever and witty blog post.

Love ya, M-Dub!! 🙂
